About this artwork

This painting is based in an encounter i had that took place many years ago, walking deep in the Amazon jungle. I saw with my eyes a group of Hoatzin (Opisthocomus hoazin) at the top of a tree. This bird is an extraordinary specie, that many scientists relates to the so called “missing links” between dinosaurs and birds. The hoatzin, as chick, has claws in his wings, wich he uses to climb in the branches. His shape an colours make me thing about the Phoenix, this mytical bird that at the end of his life reborns again.

This artwork comes delivered with a Certificate of Authenticity.
