About this artwork

While I was painting this work I started to hear in my mind the song “Chiquita bacana” that my father used to sing to me as a toddler. I enjoyed discovering that part of the lyrics says: “Só faz o que manda o seu coração” (only do what your heart tells you). Yes, I’m crazy, and I follow my instincts. I love creating her.
