ABOUT THE WORK
I started this work in particular without an image in mind. I was hearing one of my favorite song from the Argentinean singer Gustavo Cerati. The lyrics echoed in my mind: “What else is a tree more than freedom? And if I hug you is because I want to feel that our love will never be rooted out”. Time after I said the same words to someone I loved. I applied colors with knife and brush, and then the image came alive. I started to see roots in a dream forest. Definitely, this free process was subconsciously influenced by the surroundings of my life in the Amazon rainforest, and by the feeling of love.
