A creative visual arts workshop for migrants in your organization

This workshop offers a creative and safe space for adult and young adult migrants to express their personal stories through visual art. Led by artist Arturo Laime, participants reflect on their experiences both in their home countries and in Germany through accessible and engaging artistic activities.

LEARNING GOALS

  • Learn the meaning of a successful integration, through case studies from prosperous immigrants in Germany.
  • Explore the main types, elements and opportunities for artistic and cultural integration in Frankfurt am Main and Germany.
  • Exhibit a personal artistic proposal as contribution, based on the social / cultural strengths of the native land.

PARTICIPANTS

This course focuses on new immigrants, refugees and old immigrants with challenges integrating into the German society. Classes can be given in English, German and/or Spanish.

CONTENT HIGHLIGHTS

  • Investing in your own value. How to keep your personal assets growing.
  • it’s possible. Examples of successful immigrants in our society
  • Principal cultural and artistic manifestations in German history. Find them in your town
  • Local musicians, writers, actors, artists and more. Visiting the local scene.
  • Reinterpreting stories of local folklore through the visual arts.
  • Culture on a budget. Finding free and available opportunities.
  • What is my place in this society? Painting the future.
  • and many other useful things.

Arturo Laime is a visual artist of Peruvian origin based in Germany, with extensive experience working with intercultural and community-focused projects.
His art explores themes of identity, ritual, memory, and healing.
He has led numerous workshops and exhibitions across Germany and abroad.
