I started my work with the artisans of the Lurin Valley with the support of the NGO Grupo Gea. Artisans were having difficulty selling their products, mostly ceramics, textiles, and carpets. When analysing their businesses I discovered that the products were well manufactured, but their designs were very common and a simple copy of what is sold in artisan fairs around the coast of Peru.

My job was to create a space for creativity where artisans can freely explore new ideas. We made sketches, we evaluate the viability and profitability of the new ideas in order to make the products more attractive to the consumers. Having the ideas validated, the design phase started. Using elements of visual composition, we generated prototypes. Finally, after a group evaluation, the production of their new line began.
