Secrets of Amazonia
An artist journey thought memories of the rainforest
Secrets of Amazonia is an original multimedia Art project created by Arturo Laime. It was funded by Das Ministerium für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Kunst Baden-Württemberg. The work is inspired by the life experiences of the artist while living & directing an eco-social project in the Peruvian rainforest from 2006 to 2013. It aims to raise awareness about the importance of the protection of the Amazon basin, and the sustainable development of their native communities.
In every episode of this Web Series, Arturo creates a new artwork using different painting techniques. Some parts of the process are recorded live in towns & landscapes of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The show takes us then into the artist’s Studio, located in the city of Gernsbach, where he finishes the piece and shows us the brand-new artwork.
